Occupational Therapy

OT Assessment

A comprehensive OT assessment is offered to children referred for the following challenges:

  • Sensory Processing

  • Arousal Regulation and/or Emotion Regulation

  • Feeding (ARFID, selective eater)

  • Play and Engagement

  • Social Skills

A typical assessment includes the following, but may vary depending on presenting challenges:

  • Virtual parent appointment: A 1-hour appointment to learn about your child ($195)

  • In-clinic child observation: A 1-hour appointment with your child and you ($195)

  • Feedback, summary note, and collaboration: A 15-30 minute parent feedback appointment to review findings, preparation of an assessment summary note, and collaboration with other involved professionals to gather additional insights ($195)

Total cost: $585

If additional motor concerns are identified, an extra 1-2 hours of assessment may be added as need.

Motor assessment (printing, fine motor, gross motor, primitive reflexes, oral-motor):

  • 1-3 hours in clinic assessment ($195 per hour)

  • Includes a summary note of findings and recommendations

  • Parent feedback session when required

If additional behavioural concerns are identified, an extra 1-2 hours of assessment may be added as need.

Treatment and Consultation

1-hour treatment sessions include clean-up and communication with the parent/caregiver.

OT Treatment: $175.00 per hour

Consultation with Parent or Other Care Providers: $175.00 per hour

Home or School-Based Consultation: $175.00 per hour

Report and Materials Preparation: $175.00 per hour

Behaviour Consultation

Behaviour Consultation Assessment

A typical behaviour consultation assessment includes the following, but may vary depending on presenting challenges:

  • Virtual parent appointment: 1-hour ($195)

  • Home, school, or community observation: 1-2 hour appointment with child ($195 or $390)

  • Feedback, summary note, and collaboration: 15-30 minute parent feedback appointment to review findings; preparation of recommendations and home programming; collaboration with other involved professionals to gather additional insights ($195)

Total cost: $585-$780 (no additional travel fees are charged if under 5km from the clinic)

Consultation and Treatment

Consultation with Parent or Other Care Providers: $175.00 per hour

Home or School-Based Consultation: $175.00 per hour

Report and Materials Preparation: $175.00 per hour

Treatment: $175.00 per hour

Psychotherapy

Assessment, Treatment and Consultation: $200.00 per hour

Therapy Assistant

  • All therapy assistants are supervised by a Registered Occupational Therapist (OT) or a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA).

  • Under the supervision of a registered clinician, therapy assistant services may be billed under OT or RBA for OAP funding and extended health insurance coverage.

  • In accordance with college regulations, an occupational therapy assessment and/or behaviour consultation assessment is required prior to initiating therapy assistant treatment sessions.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Treatment: $120.00 per hour

Behaviour Therapy Assistant Treatment: $120.00 per hour

Senior Therapy Assistant Treatment: $155.00 per hour

Other

Travel Time: $100.00 per hour

Missed Appointment: $100.00 per hour (fee charged for missed appointment or notice within 24 hours of appointment)

Safe & Sound Protocol: $300 subscription fee

Group Program: based on participants / staffing numbers
